Just one observation on your fallacious statement - which wins in single air combat, all else being equal? Ask someone who would know about the F-22 kill ratio in recent (real life) tests with F-35 similar aircraft. Also, which has super-cruise at Mil power? Also, which one has higher survivability built in to the design? Have you seen the F-22 commercials? Fixation that suspends reality is never a virtue.
There are no "F-35 similar" aircraft. Sure, It'll replace current aircraft, But there are none similar to it. Just like there are no F-22 similar Aircraft. And the JSF has super cruise too. (FYI, they use the same engine)
yeah... I know, I fell in love with it when I first saw the JSF.

You are right, there really is no comparison between a twin engine maserati and a lawn dart (when the engine goes out).
