Hate

I'm ashamed to admit this,
But I am consumed with Hate.

I hope they get Osama before I start flying,
Because I don't want to drop the bomb.
I know I'll be doing it for the wrong reasons.

Jason, go dig into the Word. Feed on love, not hate.

Ya know, I don't care how he dies, as long as he does. And if you do it, God bless you.

This is going to sound wrong, but your feelings are not wrong. Osama fragging killed 3000 US Citizens, people who are our country men. He deserves to die for his crimes.

Nontheless...
Killing out of hate is not justice.
That would make me no better than him.

No, that is not true. Bin laden in a murduer, a man who has lead a terrorist organization responsible for the deaths of more then 5000 americans, and thousands of other people around the world. He kills innocents, and is a criminal warrior. You are a soldier, and a soldiers responsobility is to protect his homeland from people like him. If you kill him, then there is no reason you would be on the same level as Bin Laden.

If he did it out of the full hatred that he was talking about, and not out of security of his homeland, THEN he would be on the same level as 'that man'.

I still don't think he would be on the same level as Osama. Are the people that manned the Dolittle Raid over tokyo in retaliation for Pearl Harbor, are they on the same level as Bin Laden?

The end result of killing Osama would be of a benifit to the world, where Osamas killing of innocents is not, and its wrong. That is where the difference lies.

Look at it as doing justly, loving mercy, and to walk humbly in the Lord. Doing justice for God is not revenge but administering what God requires (like the death penalty). Loving mercy is to show that you do want mercy for people that Bin Laden aims to destroy. Walking humbly is not to be proud of what you can do for it's all from God.

Thanks for being honest w/ yourself and letting us know.

Yes I know,
But the thing that differs between justice and revenge is the state of mind.
Thats what I'm haveing trouble with.

Yes, very true. Two things you can do is to pray and continue to read the Word. I'll say a prayer for you as well, bro.
