ROTC is sending me off to Field Training.
Pretty much their version of Basic.
I really don't want to do this again,
but at the same time,
I don't want to be "That Guy" that didn't go.
Even if they transfered my Academy Basic over.
Which I doubt they would.
I leave on 20-May and get back on 18-June.

That must have been incredibly intimidating.

The Doolittle Raiders' 66th Reunion
The Doolittle Raiders had their 66th annual reunion here in Dallas yesterday.
That was amazing.
I got to present the colors on two different days at their 66th reunion here in Dallas.
General Moseley was there too.
He was the guest speaker.
He was alot funnier than I remembered
The General said he was going to start off with a few Aggie jokes,
And by that,
He meant UT jokes,
But the last time he did that,
He had people coming up to him for the next two days telling him other jokes.
On another note,
I was there really early on Thur,
While they were testing the sound system.
They were using Frank Sinatra to make sure it was all working
So...
There I was...
In a hanger full of airplanes,
with Frank Sinatra playing in the background.
I was defiantly in my element.
That was amazing.

My New Car
So...
Apparently the previous owner invested alot of money in the sound system in my car.
I didn't notice until I had gotten it home.
The bass was really strong.
I was playing around with it the other day,
Trying to turn it down.
Apparently,
It was already on the lowest setting.
I found that out when I accidentally turned it up.
...
Yeah,
I'm pretty sure I'll have to get this measure on the Richter scale.
These speakers definitely don't go with my music.

Guess Who Finally Got a Car
It's a 2001 Honda Civic.
I picked it because it's a good dependable car that gets good gas mileage.
I got it from the Sewell dealership in Plano.
While they were working on the paperwork,
My dad and I went to get some lunch.
And then we went to Walmart to get some thingsfor it.
Routine stuff like an air filter and fluids.
Usually the dealership takes car of those things,
But they were trying to keep the cost low,
So it was an "As Is" car.
When we got back,
The sales man was changing the plates.
We decided this was a good time to do our stuff.
So we popped the hood and got to work.
When the sales man came around and saw us,
He wasn't sure what to do.
Sewell's little slogan is "obsessed with service",
And the type of people that normally got there are the kind that are afraid to get their hands dirty.
So he was abit taken back by us elbow deep in the car.
While it was still on the show room floor.
He wasn't quiet sure what to do.
We found out afterwards that the CEO for all the Sewell dealerships was walking around that day.
So...
That was entertaining watching him squirm.

Starbucks Drivethrough
Today was my first day working Drive Through Register during the morning rush.
It was great.
We had a two whole hours where the window was never empty.
They were recording our tims.
We provided "legendary service" to 44 people in 30 minutes.

Tonight is a full Lunar Eclipse.
Supposedly,
This is the last one until 2010.
21-Dec-2010 to be precise.

For my freinds up at USAFA in the Class of 2010...
The moon will turn red then too.
(Yeah, I know that's after graduation)
For those of you long term planners that are marking the next one on your calenders,
There will be a total Solar Eclipse visible from the U.S. on 21-Aug-2017.

Kitten
My siblings got kitten.
They were getting a tour of the police department for scouts,
And decided to finish it off with a tour of the animal shelter.
I am not a cat person.
I am a dog person.
Especially big dogs,
Like German Shepards, and Huskies, and Collies.
I don't like cats.
I don't dislike them,
They're just not my most favorite animal in the world.
This cat is either really stupid,
Or really smart.
It either doesn't realize that I don't like cats,
Or it's figured out that I'm too much of a softy to be mean to it.
Every time I sit down,
It jumps in my lap and goes to sleep.
Why doesn't it do this to anyone else?
